Job summary

Caron Treatment Centers is seeking a Director of Admissions to lead and optimize admissions and intake across programs. You will supervise staff, set goals, and drive efficient workflows while ensuring high-quality client experiences and regulatory compliance.

Collaborating with clinical leadership, marketing, and revenue teams, you will align placements with ASAM criteria, manage referrals, and monitor performance metrics to support census targets and fiscal stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, behavioral health, social work, psychology, counseling, or related field is required. Master’s preferred.
• 5 years in chemical dependency field with working knowledge of addiction is required.
• 5 years in call center, patient access, intake, admissions, referral management, or business development functions is required.
• 5 years of progressive leadership experience is required.
• Minimum of three years supervisory/management experience required.
• CAAP certification within 2 years of hire is preferred.
• If in recovery, 2 years of continuous sobriety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises, trains, and develops admissions staff across programs and levels of care.
• Establishes departmental goals, performance metrics, and service standards aligned with organizational objectives.
• Monitors and improves admissions workflows for efficiency, accuracy, and client experiences.
• Develops admissions operations policies compliant with state regulations, CARF standards, and best practices.
• Ensures staffing coverage seven days a week, as applicable.
• Analyzes trends to improve conversion rates, census growth, and operational efficiency.
• Oversees intake from inquiry to admission and program placement, including bed management.
• Coordinates communication between departments to provide accurate admissions information.
• Addresses complex admissions cases, barriers to placement, and escalated concerns.
• Oversees Live Chat and online forms.
