Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Director of Manufacturing, Operations & Supply Chain Finance to lead the operations finance team and partner with manufacturing leadership. The role blends deep finance acumen with strategic execution across plants, capital projects, and cost management.

You will own budgets, multi-year plans, and KPI oversight while building scalable finance processes for a fast-growing, hybrid-work environment at our MA facilities. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or CMA credentials are preferred.
• Experience leading finance teams in manufacturing/supply chain is required.
• Ability to operate in a matrixed, multi-site environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to facilities and supply chain locations.
• Strong strategic and tactical business partner capabilities.
• Experience with ERP planning tools and cost accounting mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Advise Manufacturing and Supply Chain leaders on cost management, capital investments and operational efficiency.
• Translate financial results into actionable operational decisions for leadership.
• Own multi-year budgets, cash flows, long-range plans and KPI reporting.
• Lead make-vs-buy, sourcing, and capital allocation for factory projects and expansions.
• Build and mature the operations-finance infrastructure, data and reporting systems.
• Provide financial support for production planning, inventory management and procurement strategies.
• Drive long-term COGS improvement and margin optimization across plants.
