Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Director of Classification & Unit Management in Brentwood, TN. The role oversees inmate classification and unit management, ensuring alignment with policy and contracts, while guiding programming needs and system implementation.

The position requires 4 days onsite in Brentwood, TN with 50% travel. The director will lead training, monitor program effectiveness, and provide data-driven reports to internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavioral Science or a closely related field.
• Six years of correctional management level experience, including three years of supervisory experience.
• Additional qualifying work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages the company's approved Classification system.
• Ensures the system considers all factors and weighs each factor in determining offender status.
• Monitors and reviews system to correct deficiencies and ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinates with facility training managers for staff training programs.
• Directs classification and unit management activities during facility activations.
• Delivers training for new leadership teams in classification and unit management.
• Communicates classification programs and performance data through regular reports.
• Interacts with government partners and court personnel as needed.
