Job summary

Prologis seeks a Director of Development to lead end-to-end development in Mountain South and Southern California markets, including site pursuit, due diligence, entitlements, design, and construction of industrial facilities.

The role requires strong technical judgment, collaboration across Development, Capital Deployment, and Market Operations, and frequent travel to Phoenix, Las Vegas, or Southern California.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a similar role in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Experience in local industrial development, land municipal approvals, and construction.
• Ability to travel about 20%-40% of the time.
• Experience managing large scale and complicated sitework projects.
• Experience leading build-to-suit projects with customer coordination.
• Experience with entitlement processes in the above market locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development activities across Mountain South and/or Southern California markets.
• Coordinate and monitor development processes, including pursuit, land due diligence, entitlements, design, and construction.
• Partner with Investment Officer and Capital Deployment to evaluate sites and acquisitions.
• Plan, schedule, and budget development activities; manage permits and approvals.
• Direct teams of consultants and contractors to achieve regional goals.
• Report project status to Market Officers and managers; manage risks and costs.
