Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Deputy Chief of Schools to support the Chief of Schools in overseeing principals responsible for high-quality teaching across classrooms. This full-time position requires strong leadership skills and experience in managing educational transformations.

Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Education, a Professional Educator License, and extensive experience in educational leadership. The role offers competitive benefits and an estimated annual salary range of $123,350 to $194,096.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience teaching PreK-12; urban setting preferred.
• Minimum of four years as a school principal or three years as a principal plus one year in district administration.
• Experience coaching and mentoring educators preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the transformation of schools and network support staff to increase student achievement.
• Partner with Chief of Schools to recruit skilled principal candidates.
• Assess principal leadership capacity and develop individual Leadership Development Plans.
