Job summary

Montana State University - Office of Student Engagement seeks a Director of Enterprise Application Support to lead enterprise software strategy and delivery. The role partners with key IT stakeholders to prioritize, procure, implement and maintain software used across the university, driving efficiency and service quality.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, manage vendor relationships, and lead IT initiatives that support student success and administrative operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience required.
• Ability to translate business and technical needs into functional requirements across remote locations.
• Understanding of data security principles (FERPA, DPPA, HIPA, GLBA).
• Experience overseeing planning, implementation and maintenance of complex software solutions.
• Experience prioritizing requests and projects from multiple stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills.
• Experience with ERP and/or CRM systems.
• Knowledge of Performance Management, IT Change Management and IT Service Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic IT priorities and initiatives for enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and maintain enterprise-level software solutions.
• Oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts for division IT services.
• Manage EAS staff, performance reviews, and professional development.
• Coordinate IT services across four-campus community to align with MSU goals.
