Job summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking a Director, IT Applications to lead the applications portfolio and drive strategic initiatives for the university's technology landscape at the Kennesaw campus.

The role oversees a team of technical staff, partners with business units to deliver solutions, and ensures reliable, secure, and cost-efficient application services across the institution. A senior IT leader with a track record in higher education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of related IT experience with growing responsibility including IT management.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent experience.
• Advanced degree in technology, business, or related field preferred; CS/IS degree also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction over the institution's application portfolio.
• Build partnerships with business units to understand business needs.
• Identify appropriate applications to meet objectives and oversee implementations and ongoing support.
• Build and manage vendor relationships to maximize benefits.
• Mentor and lead a team of technical staff; provide leadership and growth.
• Manage full lifecycle of applications ensuring quality, reliability, security, and recoverability.
