Job summary

ETR seeks a Director of Behavioral Health Programs & Partnerships to lead the Behavioral Health portfolio, drive strategic growth, and oversee complex programs and grants. This executive will cultivate stakeholder relationships, guide program development, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Based in California with remote work options, the role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, program integrity, and long-term impact across preventive health initiatives and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health, public health, health education, organizational leadership, education, social sciences, or a related field.
• Ten or more years of leadership experience overseeing complex programs, portfolios, teams, and initiatives.
• Experience managing Federal and State grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements, including budgeting and compliance.
• Ability to build, manage, and sustain relationships with funders, clients, community partners, government agencies, and Tribal organizations.
• Working knowledge of behavioral health, prevention, public health, wellness, or related content areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and integration of the portfolio across program areas.
• Direct the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of complex programs and initiatives.
• Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate managers and staff to foster accountability and growth.
• Develop and manage budgets, allocate resources, monitor performance and safeguard assets.
• Partner with leaders across departments to advance organizational priorities.
