Western Digital is seeking an Associate to own strategic projects across core HDD and New Ventures, partnering with commercial, product, and finance teams. You will drive market sizing, competitive analysis, and business cases to inform executive decisions.

Ideal candidates bring 3–6 years in consultancy, corporate strategy, or research analytics, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and MBA or related degree. Remote-friendly hybrid setup in San Jose, CA, with travel.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–6 years experience overall with at least 2 in consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or a research-intensive analytical role.
Strong ability to own and lead complex strategic projects end-to-end for C-suite audiences.
Excellent financial acumen including models, scenario analysis, and business case development.

Responsibilities

Own and lead strategic projects spanning core HDD/data storage and New Ventures.
Deliver market sizing, competitive landscaping, customer and segment analysis, and GTM frameworks.
Develop executive-quality deliverables: structured decks, briefing notes, and read-outs for leadership.
Build and maintain financial/analytical models supporting strategic recommendations.
