Job summary

Equitable is seeking an experienced Head of Advisor Training & Development to shape enterprise strategy for advisor and field leader training across the journey. You will integrate curriculum strategy, coaching programs, learning platforms, and analytics to drive growth and business outcomes.

The role partners with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, building scalable programs, a train-the-trainer model, and a data-driven approach to measure impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• 10+ years experience leading advisor, sales, leadership, or professional development strategies within a large, distributed organization.
• Proven success leading complex portfolios of learning, coaching, training, or field enablement programs.
• Deep expertise in learning strategy, curriculum development, coaching methodologies, and organizational capability building.
• Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Experience leveraging data and analytics to measure effectiveness and make strategic investment decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through leaders, build high-performing teams, and drive large-scale organizational impact.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the enterprise strategy, roadmap, and governance framework for advisor and field leader training, development, education, and coaching across the advisor journey.
• Oversee the full advisor development portfolio, ensuring programs, resources, and investments align to business priorities, field needs, and long-term capability objectives.
• Evaluate, enhance, scale, redesign, or retire development offerings based on business outcomes, participant feedback, field input, and performance insights.
• Serve as the senior advisor to business and field leadership on advisor capability, development strategy, organizational readiness, and the future direction of advisor learning and coaching.
• Lead the strategy and evolution of key development programs, including advisor bootcamps, DSF development, ESF development, and leadership development.
• Partner with the Honor Guard, NAF, EAG, and field leaders to refine curriculum and learning experiences.
• Partner with EAG on the strategy and evolution of producer group coaching.
• Establish a scalable train-the-trainer model that equips leaders and coaches to consistently deliver development experiences.
• Ensure programs drive meaningful capability development, adoption, and business impact.
• Provide strategic oversight of learning operations, platforms, curriculum deployment, and training infrastructure.
• Leverage analytics to measure effectiveness, identify capability gaps, and guide future investment decisions.
• Establish performance metrics and reporting that demonstrate the impact of training and development programs.
• Ensure operational excellence and scalability across advisor development initiatives.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for advisor development, training operations, and program execution.
• Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, field leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Influence organizational priorities and secure alignment across multiple business groups.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and execution excellence.
