Job summary

Naropa University seeks a Senior Director of Admissions to provide strategic and operational leadership for undergraduate and graduate admissions. Reporting to the VP of Enrollment Management & Marketing, you will develop recruitment strategies, lead the admissions team, and ensure a responsive, mission-aligned applicant experience across programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years in higher education admissions, enrollment management, or related field with supervisory experience.
• Proven success developing and executing recruitment and yield strategies.
• Experience leading, coaching, and evaluating teams with clear performance expectations.
• Strong understanding of the admissions funnel, applicant engagement, and enrollment forecasting.
• Ability to interpret enrollment data and translate insights into action.
• Experience with admissions CRM systems and collaborating with technical/operations partners.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, relationship-building, organizational, and change-management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated alignment with Naropa University's values.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive admissions and recruitment strategies aligned with Naropa's mission and enrollment goals.
• Translate enrollment goals into annual and multi-year recruitment plans with measurable outcomes.
• Lead the prospective student journey from inquiry through enrollment with timely, personalized engagement.
• Monitor trends and adjust strategies to optimize recruitment and yield.
• Provide enrollment forecasts, pipeline updates, and strategic recommendations to university leadership.
• Ensure admissions policies support equitable access, holistic review, and compliance.
