Job summary

BeyondSOF, based in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Diligence Lead to guide a cross‑functional diligence team through investment assessments from opportunity through realization. You will integrate technical, ownership, manufacturing, founder, commercial, and financial diligence to craft actionable recommendations for leadership.

The role requires 6+ years of relevant experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Six (6)+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “Top Secret” security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience performing responsibilities directly related to the position.
• Ability to work in complex, multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with senior leaders, technical experts, or operational stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality results.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the leader of the diligence team responsible for investment assessments across opportunity, coverage, and realization stages comprehensively.
• Integrate technical, ownership, manufacturing, founder, commercial, and financial diligence.
• Set investment amounts, conditions, and scenarios; present recommendations to leadership.
• Direct analysts; commission outside expertise when needed for necessary depth.
• Maintain eligible‑buyer and realization maps with version history and rationale.
• Challenge capital and production assumptions with scenario analysis and evidence.
• Preserve dissent; carry disagreements intact to leadership for resolution appropriately.
