Job summary

South Carolina Research Authority, via SC Launch, Inc., seeks a Senior Investment Diligence Manager to lead evaluation, due diligence, structuring, and advancement of prospective investments. You will partner with leadership, portfolio companies, and investors to support disciplined decisions aligned with mission and objectives.

The role guides capitalization strategy, supports fundraising, reports on portfolio performance, and builds relationships to enable co-investment and follow-on funding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with seven+ years in venture capital, private equity, or related fields.
• Experience with institutional investment firms, corporate venture groups, or family offices.
• Experience evaluating seed- and early-stage technology companies and leading investment activities.
• Experience presenting memoranda, valuations, and portfolio reviews to senior leaders and boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and due diligence of investment candidates, including financing terms and governance considerations.
• Develop investment recommendations and structure deals with appropriate terms.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to apply investment policies and documentation.
• Lead investor relations and capital connectivity efforts, supporting co-investment opportunities.
• Prepare investment memoranda and portfolio communications for boards and executives.
• Educate and engage clients and staff in investment-related activities and events.
