Job summary

The City of Tolleson is seeking a Development Services Manager to lead the Development Services Department, directing operations, programs, and strategic initiatives aligned with the city's growth goals.

Responsibilities include improving organizational performance, facilitating development processes, and strengthening partnerships with the development community, elected officials, and residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economic Development, Urban Planning, Communications, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal development services, planning, zoning, permitting, economic development, business development, project management, marketing, communications, or related field.
• Valid Arizona Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee daily operations and strategic initiatives of the Development Services Department.
• Provide leadership in development services, economic development, customer service, marketing, and cross-departmental initiatives.
• Improve organizational performance, streamline development processes, and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders.
