Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Development Planner in Spring, TX to lead the early evaluation and maturation of business and project opportunities. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, assess concepts, and apply profitability analyses to form clear business recommendations that drive asset growth.

The role requires technical and commercial understanding, strong communication, and the ability to navigate complex decisions with stakeholders. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with strong technical and business understanding.
• Excellent communication and ability to present trade-offs to leadership.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through uncertain opportunities.
• Knowledge of economic and financial concepts relevant to project development.

Responsibilities

• Lead collection and analysis of technical, commercial, and market data to support development decisions.
• Evaluate opportunities using fiscal frameworks and economic drivers to inform decisions.
• Develop and maintain economic models; clearly communicate results and risks.
• Integrate technical, commercial, and execution perspectives to mature concepts amid uncertainty.
• Identify value-enhancing opportunities and engage SMEs to maximize portfolio value.
• Collaborate with subsurface, engineering, commercial, finance, and ops teams across milestones.
• Support annual planning, portfolio management, and reserves reporting including P&B inputs.
