U.S.VETS seeks a Development & Communications Manager to oversee fundraising, communications, and community engagement. You will work with the Executive Director to grow private revenue, manage signature events, and expand donor relations.

The role partners with National Development staff to implement strategies, lead corporate fundraising, and ensure consistent branding across communications. Excellent written and verbal skills are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or commensurate experience will be considered.
• 3-5 years fundraising experience, particularly including special events, individual and corporate giving.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in managing donor and community relationships.
• Initiative to personally request and secure investments from individuals, corporations, and community groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities, strong time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen to and effectively communicate with colleagues and donors.
• Flexibility, creativity, and initiative are required to create new opportunities.
• Strong Microsoft Office, database, and administration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee site fundraising, communications, community engagement and increase private revenue annually to meet projected goals.
• Partner with National Development staff to expand fundraising and communications activities; participate in national calls and meetings.
• Manage all signature events including administration, logistics and execution; coordinate third-party and donor-hosted events.
• Lead growth of corporate fundraising through prospecting and solicitation for sponsorships and investments.
• Oversee donor engagement; increase individual giving and coordinate direct mail and e-appeals.
• Identify prospects for individual and corporate support; conduct research and outreach.
• Serve as community representative; deliver presentations to local businesses, faith groups, and community associations.
• Secure in-kind contributions and partner with local groups to increase donations.
• Engage volunteers and oversee on-site and event volunteer projects; manage and steward volunteers.
• Utilize Blackbaud RE NXT to create records, record contributions, send acknowledgments and track actions.
• Provide supervisory oversight to development staff or volunteers as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
