Job summary

YWCA Rochester is seeking an Development Director to lead fundraising efforts and advance the organization’s mission in Rochester, NY. You will collaborate with the CEO/VP, design donor materials, and oversee campaigns and events to secure financial support.

Responsibilities include managing donor appeals, maintaining a robust donor database, and supervising Development staff while ensuring timely, high-quality reporting to stakeholders. Flexibility for events and travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, public speaking and writing skills are essential.
• Very strong organizational skills; must be highly detailed oriented and comfortable juggling multiple projects year-round.
• Experience with donor management software and relationship-building with partners and donors.

Responsibilities

• Development: Manage fundraising appeals, online giving, and collaborate with CEO/VP to set fundraising goals.
• Engage with team on campaigns, community outreach, fundraising, and corporate partnerships.
• Design donor solicitation materials and acknowledgments; develop strategies to engage new donors.
• Maintain constituent database, generate donor reports for the CEO; ensure data integrity for reporting.
