Job summary

ACLD is seeking a Director of Development to provide strategic leadership for fundraising, donor relations, marketing, and development initiatives. The role oversees planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure philanthropic support and advance the organization’s mission.

The role requires collaborating with the Board, volunteers, and staff to strengthen fundraising, manage events, and enhance community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred in a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive fundraising or business development experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of management and supervisory experience; Five years or more preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee comprehensive fundraising strategies across annual giving, major gifts, campaigns, and grants.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and funding partners in partnership with the Board and volunteers.
• Lead planning and execution of fundraising events, donor recognition, and community engagement initiatives.
• Direct integrated marketing, communications, digital media, and media relations strategies; act as a brand ambassador.
• Recruit, develop, and supervise Development staff; manage budgets, donor data, and operational processes.
• Support implementation of the organization’s strategic plan and cultivate community partnerships.
