Job summary

Caldera is seeking a Development & Communications Director to lead fundraising, communications, and equity-centered leadership at the Portland office. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and guide strategic relationship-building with donors and partners.

The role focuses on growing a diverse funding pipeline, elevating Caldera’s mission, and collaborating with the Leadership Team to expand impact across youth and artists in Oregon.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of demonstrated fundraising and communications experience.
• Commitment to racial equity and inclusive leadership.
• Ability to travel weekly in the Portland Metro area and to Central Oregon approximately 12–20 times annually.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fundraising strategy to raise more than $1 million annually.
• Lead branding, communications, media relations, and online/offline marketing.
• Supervise staff and manage department budget.
• Represent Caldera and collaborate with board and partners.
