Job summary

The East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC) seeks a Director of Development & Communications to lead the organization’s resource development and external communications. This role reports to the Executive Director and collaborates closely with senior leadership to advance a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with EBCLC’s mission.

You will oversee a comprehensive fund development program with a $9 million annual budget, manage a diverse team, and work with board and funders to expand support

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of development experience in the nonprofit sector.
• Experience raising funds from foundations, high-net-worth individuals and major gifts.
• Knowledge of development best practices and institutional funders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising plan and strategy.
• Oversee a $9 million annual fund development program supported by government contracts, foundations, and donors.
• Lead and manage a team to meet fundraising goals and funder obligations.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership to shape EBCLC’s vision and planning.
• Support Board development activities and staff a Development Committee.
