Job summary

Community Residences, Inc. (CRi) is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Director of Development & Communications to lead fundraising, marketing, and volunteer engagement.

You will expand CRi's impact across Virginia and Maryland by cultivating major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and grants while guiding a high-performing team. The role requires a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop partnerships with donors and community

Qualifications

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Experience leading fundraising campaigns and managing donor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, foundation partnerships, and grant initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, community leaders, board members, and corporate partners.
• Oversee grant writing, donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and impact reporting.
• Drive CRi's marketing and communications strategy across digital, print, media, and social platforms.
• Manage volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition programs.
• Represent CRi at community events, networking opportunities, and fundraising functions.
• Supervise and develop a high-performing Development & Communications team.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic growth.
