Job summary

The Society is seeking a Development and Community Relations Manager to lead the development and community relations team. This role oversees fund development, marketing and public relations, and collaborates with the Executive Director and senior management to advance the agency's mission.

Responsibilities include steering grant writing, coordinating special events, nurturing donor relations, and guiding a strategic fundraising and communications plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, or related field; five years in marketing, fundraising and development.
• Two years of supervision/management experience preferred.
• Proficient with design and publishing programs and social media.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated with initiative, creativity and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates development & community relations team members.
• Leads Board Development Committee and builds relationships with external stakeholders.
• Creates and executes a strategic funding and marketing plan with senior leadership.
• Leads grant writing activities and ensures grant compliance and reporting.
• Oversees all special events, manages budgets and donor engagement activities.
• Oversees public relations and marketing across platforms to raise awareness and fundraising.
• Reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with the Society Board and stakeholders.
