The City of Richmond's Department of Economic Development seeks an innovative leader for the Deputy Department Director Senior role. The successful candidate will oversee budget, finance, legislative, business investment, real estate, and marketing & communications for the department.

This unclassified position serves at the will of the Appointing Authority and will fulfill the Director's duties when required, guiding strategic objectives and departmental operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in public administration or related field.
• Eight years of progressively responsible related experience with significant management and supervisory experience.
• Master's degree preferred; some positions may require additional specialized requirements.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience as approved by the department.

Responsabilidades

• Compile and analyze data from economic development activities and the implementation of the economic development strategic plan.
• Lead and assist business attraction, retention, and expansion activities.
• Support the implementation of the strategic objectives of the Economic Development Authority at the direction of the Director.
• Fulfill the duties of the Director of Economic Development when required.
