The City of Richmond's Department of Economic Development seeks an innovative Deputy Department Director Senior to oversee budget, finance, legislative matters, business investment, real estate, and marketing & communications.

This unclassified role serves at the will of the Appointing Authority and will lead data-driven economic development initiatives, manage complex budgets, and mentor a diverse team across multiple divisions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in public administration or field related to assignment.
• Eight years of progressively responsible related experience with management/supervisory experience.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience may be used.

Aufgaben

• Compile and analyze data from economic development activities and implement the strategic plan.
• Lead and assist business attraction, retention, and expansion activities.
• Support strategic objectives of the Economic Development Authority as directed by the Director.
• Fulfill duties of the Director when required.
