Sound Transit in Seattle, WA seeks a Deputy CIO to lead the IT Leadership Team and partner with the CIO to drive enterprise technology strategy. The role oversees governance, budget, and IT operating model, and ensures delivery of major systems initiatives across the agency.

The Deputy CIO will shape workforce strategy, manage cross-functional programs, and represent IT in executive forums while upholding the agency’s values and commitment to service excellence.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or closely related field.
• Ten years experience in senior level IT positions including; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead IT Leadership Team, providing direction, coordination, and coaching across a group of cross-functional experts.
• Serve as a senior advisor to the CIO, in partnership with other members of the IT Leadership Team.
• Act as a delegate or proxy for the CIO, representing the CIO in executive forums or stepping in during the CIO’s absence when appropriate.
• Build effective strategic relationships with other departments for cross-department planning and coordination of business needs.
• Coach, train, and motivate staff; coordinate and/or provide staff training; and manage employee relations.
• Facilitate the development of IT strategy, roadmap, and strategic plans, and ensures they are communicated clearly across the IT organization and to key stakeholders.
• Participate in the creation of an enterprise-wide strategy for how information and technology will contribute to business success across the enterprise.
• Design and maintain the IT operating model needed to deliver on strategic objectives; define ways of working, role structures and guiding principles.
