The City of Seattle's Seattle Department of Transportation seeks a strategic Chief of Staff (Executive 2) to lead the Director’s Office. You will streamline information flow, coordinate government relations, and drive initiatives across departments to advance citywide goals.

You'll represent the Director with key stakeholders, oversee policy analysis, and shape enterprise strategy in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring compliance with laws and delivering measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with 10+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience in communications, public relations, governmental affairs or related fields.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all facets of the Director’s Office and regulatory compliance.
• Drives government relations, external affairs and communications strategy.
• Represents the Director with key stakeholders and prepares meetings.
• Leads enterprise strategy development with the ELT and staff experts.
• Identifies critical issues with public impact for senior leadership attention.
