Job summary

GLS US GROUP is seeking a Depot Manager to oversee depot operations on site, ensuring smooth inbound/outbound flow, staff supervision, and performance reporting. The role entails managing supervisors, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring compliance with operating standards.

The successful candidate will have 4+ years in depot management within transportation, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ degree or equivalent in depot management, transportation.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with MS Office and logistics systems.
• Prior transportation and delivery service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operating structure of the Depot and support AM/PM supervisors.
• Supervise, coach, and discipline staff as needed.
• Validate prior day delivery operations and perform daily/weekly reconciliations.
• Audit prior day operations for settlement totals, hours, and labor allocation.
• Oversee required reporting functions at the Depot.
• Ensure dispatch operations meet service times and handle escalations.
