Job summary

GLS US GROUP is seeking a Depot Manager in Poway, CA to oversee depot operations, including inbound/outbound handling, supervision of AM and PM staff, and ensuring accurate reporting. You will drive performance, dispatch efficiency and adherence to policy while coordinating with HR, accounting and corporate services.

The role requires strong leadership, transportation experience, and proficiency in MS Office; a hands-on, results-driven professional with excellent communication skills will thrive.

Qualifications

• 4+ year's degree or equivalent experience in depot management.
• Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, leadership and team-building skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office and industry systems knowledge.
• Prior transportation and delivery service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operating structure of the Depot to support AM/PM supervisors.
• Supervise, assign tasks, coach, and discipline staff.
• Validate prior day delivery operations and perform reconciliation.
• Audit prior day operations for settlement totals and labor allocation.
• Oversee required reporting functions at the Depot.
• Ensure dispatch operations meet service times and handle escalations.
• Delegate tasks to team members for on-time completion.
• Monitor delegated assignments for performance and compliance.
• Perform duties as assigned by Region Director and management.
