Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Deployment Strategist to bridge customer business problems with Databricks’ technical solutions. You will own the non-technical lifecycle of an FDE engagement, partnering with Account Executives to scope value, define the MVP, and guide the PRD for engineering.

This role requires executive gravitas, a product-minded mindset, and a hands-on, get-it-done execution approach. You will drive Day 0 launch and ongoing value realization while shaping future engagements.

Qualifications

• Executive Presence & Communication: A Trusted Advisor with C-suite gravitas and superb communication skills.
• Product & Strategy Mindset: A Product Thinker and Systems Thinker who can perform a SWOT analysis and define what to build and why.
• Relentless Execution: An Execution Driver with a Hands-On mentality and willingness to do unglamorous work.
• Ideal Experience: 2+ years as a Deployment Strategist OR 2+ years at a high-growth startup in a builder or founder capacity; or 5+ years in a senior, client-facing product/delivery role at a top-tier tech company or consultancy.
• Proven Skills: Experience in value-based scoping (TCO/ROI), managing agile software projects, writing PRDs, and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• C-Suite Scoping & Value Definition: Map organization, quantify business value, and define pilots with MVPs and success criteria.
• End-to-End Product Ownership: Author PRDs, prioritize backlog, manage scope, and act as primary QA tester.
• Agile Project Execution & Delivery: Drive the build team via agile processes and manage stakeholder communications.
• Solution Launch & Landing: Own Day 0 launch, manage the war room, and drive adoption through feedback and iteration.
• Strategic Handoff & Growth: Define ongoing maintenance, create documentation/training, and identify next engagements.
