Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Northampton, MA seeks a Supply Chain Demand Manager to develop and manage forecasting and planning processes across product lines, customers, channels, and regions. You will align Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to support product availability, inventory optimization, and cost control.

The role leads demand planning within S&OP/IBP, improves forecast accuracy, identifies risks and opportunities, and provides actionable insights to senior leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in demand planning or related roles.
• Experience leading S&OP/IBP processes.
• Proven ability to improve forecast accuracy.
• ERP/MRP experience with planning systems.
• Advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts across product lines, customers, channels, and regions.
• Lead the demand-planning component of S&OP/IBP, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
• Analyze historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and market trends.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Planning to establish one approved demand plan.
• Monitor forecast performance using KPI metrics (MAPE, bias, etc.).
• Identify root causes of variances and implement corrective actions.
• Support inventory strategies with demand-based recommendations.
• Develop demand plans for new products and product changes.
• Communicate recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
