Job summary

Interplastic Corporation, a Minnesota-based chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a Demand Planner to forecast and manage the demand plan across multiple product lines. You will analyze sales data, trends, and customer behavior to build accurate forecasts and collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to support the monthly S&OP process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, economics or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Demand Planner, or 4+ years as a Supply Planner or MRP Analyst.
• 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and management.
• Understanding of statistical forecasting methods (time series, regression, exponential smoothing, trend projection).
• Proficiency in ERP, demand planning and MRP systems (SAP/Oracle/M3).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with data-driven improvements.
• Strong communication skills to lead meetings and drive change.
• Experience with S&OP/IBP, M3 Demand Planning or CPIM/CSCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate weekly, monthly and quarterly demand forecasts over a rolling 12-month horizon.
• Partner with Commercial teams to layer customer forecasts and market insights onto the forecast.
• Lead the demand planning inputs to the monthly S&OP process and prepare executive summaries.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and bias and drive forecasting improvements.
• Coordinate phase-in/phase-out items and advise on inventory strategies.
• Manage MRP parameters to support service and inventory goals.
• Monitor inventory health and KPIs such as turns, stockouts and OTIF.
• Build reports and dashboards with IT and Supply Chain and conduct root-cause analyses.
