Job summary

Slumberland Furniture seeks a Demand and Inventory Analyst to optimize product flow by forecasting demand, managing inventory, and delivering actionable insights. You will forecast promotions, seasonal patterns, and lifecycle changes while coordinating with Merchandising to align targets and pricing.

In this role, you will maintain DC inventory, order points, and safety stock, monitor vendor performance, and analyze sales trends with dashboards for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Forecasting experience and ability to build SKU-level forecasts.
• Experience with regression, moving averages, and seasonality is a plus.
• Analytical and data-driven decision making is essential.
• Strong attention to detail with strategic thinking.
• Willingness to problem-solve and take initiative.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Finance, Stores, and Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SKU-level forecasts using statistical models and inputs.
• Forecast promotional lifts, seasonal patterns, and event buys.
• Model new product introductions and lifecycle transitions.
• Collaborate with Merchandising on targets, assortment, and pricing.
• Maintain DC inventory levels and GMROI targets.
• Calculate reorder points, safety stock, and weeks of supply.
• Create and manage purchase orders based on forecast and lead times.
• Monitor late shipments, vendor fill rate, and lead time changes.
• Analyze category sales, trends, and drivers using dashboards.
• Provide insights to Merchandising, Finance, Stores, and senior management.
