Job summary

EEI seeks an experienced Buyer to manage sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and procurement activities in a defense electronics manufacturing environment. You will negotiate contracts, reduce costs, improve supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services supporting operations.

The role requires 4–6 years of related experience and a strong track record in purchasing, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 4–6 years of experience.
Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a defense electronics manufacturing environment.
Proven success negotiating contracts and supplier agreements.
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate supplier bids, contracts, pricing, and terms.
Prepare and manage RFQs, purchase orders, cost analyses, and award documentation.
Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing to optimize procurement decisions.
Lead cost-reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and Aftermarket teams to support business objectives.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
