Job summary

The role leads center operations, coordinates assessment, and guides district-wide initiatives with key stakeholders. The position involves collaboration with faculty and administrators to promote student success, manage center resources, and strengthen partnerships

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time experience in higher education, including significant teaching experience.
• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required, terminal degree preferred.
• Progressively responsible administrative experience preferred.
• Community college experience preferred.
• Facilitates the resolution of disagreement or conflict among stakeholders.
• Ensures the academic quality of special programs assigned to the college.
• Manages all fiscal matters at site level within given budget limitations.
• Enrolment management initiatives to recruit students and promote the college and the center.
• Conducts evaluation of faculty and staff.
• Works with department chairs, faculty liaisons, and CCAOs to create dual credit/dual enrollment opportunities.
• Collects, analyzes, and utilizes data for continuous program improvement.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge in higher education leadership.
• Develops and recommends operational staff policies to ensure innovation, quality, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Develops, articulates, and presents the vision for the South County collaboration with site and district leadership.
• Oversees operations at the center that provides a one-stop service for students.
• Assists academic leadership in curricular improvements aligned with strategic goals and supervises class schedule construction.
• Leads and coordinates assessment activities to document and advance division and college initiatives.
• Leads and coordinates assigned district-wide initiatives.
• Represents the site and the College to students, parents, organizations, and industry with Marketing and Communications.
• Meets with area employers to assess training and education needs.
• Collaborates with Center staff and district admissions in scheduling visits to local high schools and in career day activities.
• Expands student support programs that are community and needs-based; hosts student recognition events.
• Serves as a student affairs officer handling student conduct and related issues as directed.
• Communicates information effectively to supervisors and supervisees.
• Other duties as assigned.
