Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paint Company is seeking a Dealer Sales Representative to service existing accounts and grow the business across Mid/Eastern Maryland, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, Delaware Shore, and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Reporting to the Senior Regional Sales Manager, you will build relationships with store personnel and key corporate decision-makers.

Responsibilities include recommending products, account planning, CRM use, and delivering dealer education seminars.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales experience.
• High School Diploma; BA preferred in business field.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, negotiating and presentation skills are required.
• Coatings or building industry related knowledge is preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate product recommendations (application, performance, training, and color).
• Service existing customer accounts and find opportunities for growth within the sales territory.
• Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, accounts with growth potential, and understand existing business and the segments they serve.
• Use Customer Relationship Manager tool to handle accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc.
• Analyze territory performance and develop sales territory business plans.
• Use initiative in handling customer problems, complaints and warranty issues to resolve in a timely manner.
• Prioritize/conduct dealer/end-user education and product information seminars.
