Job summary

New Mexico Highlands University seeks a Research Analyst to develop, write, and analyze institutional reports using statistical methods. The role communicates data to university constituents to support decision-making, strategic planning, policy development, and self-assessment.

Under supervision, you will manage data collection, reporting tools, and dashboards, supporting NMHU’s accreditation and outcomes work, while ensuring data security and confidentiality across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and advanced proficiency in data tools.
• Two years of research experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide institution-wide data to university administrators, community, and external agencies.
• Assist with federal and state reporting requirements (IPEDS, HED, Clearinghouse, HLC).
• Submit regular data reports to the National Student Clearinghouse.
• Support accreditation and outcomes assessment activities with data and reporting.
• Develop data collection and reporting tools; maintain data quality.
