Job summary

Citi is seeking a Vice President - Data Governance to lead and shape the Data Governance Foundation strategy in collaboration with risk and control teams. This role focuses on policy adoption, controls, and regulatory alignment across data domains.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in data governance or data management within financial services, with strong communication skills and a proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Risk Management Domain operationalization and BAU operations, liaising with central EDO team and Data Managers.
• Assist in assessing interdependencies across Risk Domains, identifying gaps, delivery conflicts, and remediation.
• Partner with Risk Domain Leads to ensure adherence to EDO Guidelines.
• Ensure artifacts are documented in EDO formats and organized in Teams.
• Lead Data Domain Working Groups per Citi’s Data Policies and Procedures.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Liaise with business partners to align Data Governance and Data Risk work.
• Support Data Governance policies and standards including industry best practices.
• Track progress and provide guidance for enterprise-wide policies and standards.
• Develop materials to articulate progress on Data Governance strategy for leadership and regulatory updates.
• Coordinate with metrics team to define objective measures for data governance narratives.
