Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Engineer to shape data pipelines and analytics across products like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. You will design scalable data solutions, ensure data quality, and partner with engineering, data science, and product teams to drive impactful insights for billions of users and hundreds of millions of businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience with data roles (data analyst/scientist/engineer).
• 7+ years with SQL, ETL, data modeling and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, C#).

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and own the data architecture for multiple large-scale projects, evaluating design & cost-benefit tradeoffs.
• Create frameworks to improve logging data and work with data infrastructure to triage issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs and visually present insights.
• Define and manage SLAs for all data sets in owned areas.
