Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a senior data architecture leader to drive cross‑portfolio data, reporting, and catalog strategy. You’ll translate business needs into scalable data architecture, define standards, and shape reference architectures across Xtime platforms.

You will collaborate with business and technology leaders to deliver secure, flexible data solutions, including cloud design and enterprise data tooling, with a focus on supporting dealer, OEM and portfolio reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline with 10 years of experience; alternative combinations allowed.
• 10+ years of full development life cycle, architecture design, and platform implementations.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale ETL and reporting solutions.
• Experience designing cloud architectures (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure also).
• Experience with Snowflake, MicroStrategy, Logi or similar platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• 5+ years of architecture delivery and storytelling for leadership audiences.
• 5+ years in creating strategies and solutions using architecture models and frameworks.
• Automotive industry background or interest.

Responsibilities

• Translates business requirements into technical specifications for data streams, integrations, transformations, databases and warehouses.
• Helps define data architecture standards, principles, modeling, metadata, security and reference data.
• Architects the product catalog domain data model, sourcing and governance.
• Owns the architecture of the reporting platform powering dealer, dealer-group and OEM reporting.
• Defines data feeds and report requests patterns; evaluates performance, security and interoperability.
