Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a senior architect to lead platform direction for omni-channel and API-driven solutions. You will partner with product and engineering leadership to align on a shared technology direction and to enable teams to deliver value quickly.

The role involves collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and customers to define interfaces, components, and subsystems, ensuring non-functional requirements are met and architectural runway for upcoming features is established.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; 10 years' related experience or equivalents as described in ad.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and AWS.
• 8+ years delivering mission-critical applications in production.
• API-first development using serverless, containers, and distributed architectures.
• Strong knowledge of OIDC, SAML, SCIM, SQL/NoSQL, and modern web stacks.
• 4+ years as a solution or technical architect.

Responsibilities

• Set platform architectural direction and long-term vision.
• Plan, define, and design solutions across multiple Release Trains; identify dependencies.
• Guide engineers and architects in requirements, interfaces, and delivery automation.
• Identify architectural runway to support upcoming features; prioritize with product/engineering.
• Frame architectural options in business terms and assess economic impact.
• Advocate for sound architectural solutions at all levels of the organization.
• Establish non-functional requirements at platform level.
• Promote reuse of shared capabilities across Cox Automotive.
