Job summary

Acrisure in Austin, TX is seeking a Strategic Data Analyst to translate multi-source data into executive insights and strategic recommendations. You will craft dashboards and memos, work with Palantir Foundry, and extend dbt models, collaborating with senior leaders across the North America Insurance business.

You will drive data-driven decisions, develop narratives for leadership, and ensure data quality while navigating ambiguity in a growth-stage analytics environment.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a strategy-adjacent analytics role.
• Strong command of SQL with complex queries (window functions, CTEs, multi-table joins).
• Hands-on experience with dbt or Palantir Foundry for data modeling.
• Comfort with a modern cloud data warehouse.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings to non-technical executives in writing and presentations.
• Intellectual honesty to explain data limitations and context.
• Experience with BI/visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Genuine interest in learning Palantir Foundry and growing on the team.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity within a fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex, multi-source datasets into concise executive narratives with context and implications.
• Develop and maintain analytical deliverables including executive decks, memos, and self-service dashboards.
• Write sophisticated queries against Palantir Foundry Ontology and dbt models to extract and validate data.
• Contribute to analytics engineering: extend dbt models, build data pipelines, and surface insights.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to understand questions and deliver trustworthy analysis.
• Uphold data modeling best practices: documentation, Git versioning, incremental builds, data quality validation.
• Identify data gaps and surface them with clear rationale and impact.
• Leverage AI tools (Claude, Palantir AI FDE, Gemini) with rigorous evaluation before deployment.
