Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support the SEIT department in the CNS Business Unit, on-site at Spectrum Center, San Diego. The role covers security controls, RMF, CMMC, and NSA-aligned activities for DoD networks. The position can be Principal or Sr. Principal.

Ideal candidates hold DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+) and a current US clearance, with 5+ years for Principal or 8+ for Sr. Principal, and strong communication skills to translate complex concepts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Bachelors in Science; 3+ years with Masters; 1+ year with PhD
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+) or higher
• US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance
• Experience translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of NSA programs, RMF and CMMC is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement and assess security controls and processes
• Assess security controls and identify weaknesses
• Document Certification & Accreditation results and update POA&M
• Automate security tool deployment and monitoring on Linux/Windows
• Provide advanced cyber infrastructure analyses and solutions
• Review technical requirements and deployment plans with teams
• Enhance system performance, reliability and security
• Support Cyber SME activities and DoD STIG compliance
• Mentor teammates and manage stakeholder expectations
