Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join the SEIT department in the CNS Business Unit in San Diego. The role focuses on security, RMF, and cross-domain integration across DoD programs.

You will design, implement and assess security controls, prepare security plans, and coordinate certifications. A US citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance are required, with NSA/DOD frameworks knowledge highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+) or higher.
• U.S. Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and assess security controls and processes.
• Prepare system security plans and update POA&M.
• Review system audits and close corrective actions.
• Configure security tools and centralized authentication.
• Provide cyber security subject matter expertise.
• Support requirements reviews and deployment planning.
• Enhance system performance, reliability, and security.
• Communicate technical concepts across teams.
