Job summary

Northrop Grumman–San Antonio is seeking cleared mid-level to Sr. Principal Software Engineers in the MissionSystems sector. You will work on kernel-mode development, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research for national security systems.

The role requires US citizenship, active Secret clearance (TS potential), and strong C/C++ skills, with leadership experience and familiarity with debugging tools like Wireshark, IDA Pro, and WinDbg.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of programming experience or MS with 3+ years.
• US Citizenship is required and active Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain/maintain TS clearance.
• Strong C/C++ programming experience and debugging/system analysis tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop kernel mode software for Windows/Linux.
• Perform reverse engineering on target binaries and assess vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain networked software components and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL).
• Lead technical teams of 2–8 engineers.
• Work within the MissionSystems unit on national security projects.
