Job summary

Smurfit Westrock, a leader in sustainable packaging, is hiring a Customer Service Specialist in Dayton, NJ. You will handle phone and email inquiries, maintain customer accounts, and process orders for strategic accounts, ensuring timely communication of schedules and delays to sales and customers.

The role requires an AA or equivalent, at least 3 years in a related field, and proficiency with MS Office; AS400 is a plus. Working Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, on-site attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with project management and meeting deadlines.
• Fluency in English; bilingual skills preferred.
• Proficient data entry and MS Office.
• AS400 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive phone and email inquiries from customers and process orders.
• Maintain customer accounts and orders and provide order status updates.
• Communicate delays to customers and sales staff and pursue add-on sales.
• Prepare quotations and monitor progress of strategic accounts.
• Coordinate with purchasing and sales to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support multiple projects from development to fulfillment.
