East Maine School District 63 is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as its next Assistant Superintendent of Business Services and Chief School Business Official for this fully in-person role.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership of a district business office, expertise in annual budgets with five-year projections, and strong experience with grants, procurement, and audit processes, while guiding the district toward equity and instructional alignment.

Qualifications

• Requires master's degree in Finance or School Business Administration or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the district business office and operations team.
• Develop and present annual budgets with program budgeting and 5-year projections.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal grants; supervise financial reporting.
• Oversee payroll/withholding administration and employee benefits.
• Manage contracts with architects/engineers/construction managers; control fixed assets.
• Lead public bidding, cooperative purchasing, and vendor contract negotiations.
• Oversee workers' compensation, property, liability, auto, and student insurance programs.
• Administer transportation, food service budgets, and federal meal subsidy compliance.
• Advise Superintendent and Board on financial strategy, policy, and instructional alignment.
