Job summary

Starboard is seeking an Associate Buyer to partner with the Buyer in developing the strategic vision, assortment plans, and vendor relationships for multiple cruise line profiles. The role emphasizes customer-centric planning, data-driven decisions, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sales, gross margin, and inventory efficiency.

You will work with Planning counterparts to align financial targets with merchandising objectives and may manage direct reports as you grow in responsibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent
• Strong analytical and strategy-formulation skills
• Ability to lead and drive results across large-scale initiatives

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic vision for areas of responsibility across cruise line profiles.
• Create and manage merchandising standards onboard with cross-functional teams.
• Source, develop and manage vendors and negotiate terms and exclusive agreements.
• Develop customer-centric assortment plans based on brand, guest demography and data.
• Prepare for monthly business reviews and provide insights for strategy.
