Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Chicago seeks a Credit Risk Analyst to deliver expert analysis and recommendations on a defined high-risk borrowing portfolio. You will advise stakeholders, structure transactions, and help shape lending policies to reduce loss exposure.

With 5-7 years of experience, you will influence decisions, collaborate with diverse teams, and monitor risk performance to protect assets and grow portfolio profitability.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent
• Deep knowledge of credit portfolio management policies & procedures

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer experience for a defined portfolio of high-risk borrowing accounts
• Analyzes risk and makes credit decisions/recommendations per policy
• Advises stakeholders on complex high-risk transactions and mitigation strategies
• Develops and implements lending-related policies and procedures
• Coaches sales & service teams to increase risk awareness and proper structuring of transactions
• Monitors financial/risk performance of accounts and provides insights for improvement
