Job summary

Carrier Enterprise is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to oversee a $5M+ commercial A/R portfolio, drive collections, assess credit risk, and support profitable sales growth while minimizing bad debt. You will partner with sales, branch leadership, and customers in a B2B environment to optimize credit decisions and performance.

The role focuses on credit extension, collections, and compliance with company policies, with reporting to regional credit leadership.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in financial analysis including financial statements, credit reports, and industry data.
• In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment techniques, credit policies, and legal regulations.

• Bonds and liens experience.
• Ability to analyze complex data and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee A/R portfolio and credit extensions per policy and law.
• Collaborate with branch managers, sales, and customers to resolve credit issues and outbound collections.
• Maintain 90+ day past due accounts with minimal write-offs.
• Manage credit files and AR records for the territory.
• Handle bonds and liens for the area.
• Provide ad-hoc management reports on account status.
• Attend sales and customer meetings on credit matters.
• Support compliance with all credit policies; coordinate with auditors.
• Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to optimize the credit function.
• Analyze collections processes to establish best practices.
