Job summary

Farmers Furniture seeks a Credit & Collections Supervisor to oversee AR and collection activities and to evaluate customer credit applications. This role ensures proper procedures to limit losses while growing receivables and contacts delinquent customers to secure payments.

The incumbent will supervise staff, maintain organized files, and coordinate with store management to enforce credit policies and ensure accurate daily bookkeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years experience in accounting/bookkeeping, loan processing, and/or collections.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and leads staff, directing work and providing guidance for efficient office and credit operations.
• Manages and oversees accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Reviews and evaluates applications; investigates financial status and approves or rejects credit.
• Contacts customers to collect overdue payments and enforces terms of sales or credit contracts.
• Documents all correspondence and maintains accurate files and records.
